My name is Sheena Barton and I graduated from Arizona State University with my degree in early childhood education and elementary education. I am in my 18th year of teaching and this will be my 13th year teaching at archery Veritas. I am married and have three sons ages 20, 19, and 17. I enjoy traveling, dancing, reading, and going to Disneyland!
Growing up in Iowa, the University of Arizona brought Mrs. Gaintner to the Southwest. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Arizona. Mrs. Gaintner has 20 years of teaching experience teaching elementary and preschool students. Mrs. Gaintner and her husband love being parents in the Veritas community with two children currently in 7th and 10th Grade. When Mrs. Gaintner isn’t teaching, she enjoys traveling, walking, reading and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
My name is Miss Emilie Coyne, and I am thrilled to be joining Archway Veritas as a kindergarten teacher. I recently moved to Arizona from Los Angeles, California. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in History from Cal Poly Pomona and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Pepperdine University. Throughout my career, I have served as an elementary classroom teacher, intervention teacher, and English language instructor, and I am especially grateful to be returning to the classroom. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, traveling, exploring Arizona, cheering for the New York Yankees, and spending time with my family, friends, and seven nieces and nephews.
Hi! My name is Cecilia Obernuefemann and I was born in Louisiana but have lived here for most of my life. This is my 3rd year at Archway Veritas and am so excited to be teaching kindergarten this year. I enjoy cooking, baking, taking walks and spending time with family.
My name is Henry Schreiber, and I will be teaching 1st grade in 1A. I’m from Scottsdale, Arizona, and I received my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona. In my free time, I love going to the movies, going on vacations, and hanging out with my family.
I am a proud mom of 5 kids. I enjoy yoga, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. I find my career as a first grade teacher very rewarding.
Miss Lauren Lumia is ecstatic about being the lead teacher in 1C for a third year. She was raised in Southern California, but moved to Arizona to finish her degree at Northern Arizona University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Though this is her third year as the 1C lead, she has over a decade of childcare experience under her belt. When she’s not teaching, Miss Lumia is probably baking, reading, doing pilates, going to church, and spending time with her loved ones (including her beloved cat, Louie).
Miss Stevens earned her degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. She enjoys creating a welcoming and engaging classroom where students are encouraged to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Outside of school, Miss Stevens enjoys reading, doing Pilates, trying new restaurants, and going to the movies.
This is Mrs. Kain’s 10th year teaching. She has two grown daughters and a son who is a Senior at Brophy College Prep. She will be married 30 years in April and loves living in Arizona. She and her family lived in Chicago for 20 years and relocated to Phoenix 8 years ago. Mrs. Kain loves traveling and baking.
Allison is thrilled to serve as a lead teacher in 2nd grade. She is married to Erik and together they have six sons. Allison and her family have been a part of the Archway Veritas community since 2011; all six of her boys have attended 2nd grade (and beyond) here! Archway Veritas is like a second home for their family and Allison is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve in the classroom. Outside of school, Allison loves cooking and spending time with her family and their adorably dopey dog, Roland.
I have been at ACV for 6 years, 3 of those as a second grade lead teacher. My favorite subjects to teach are ELA. I have a Post Bac and Masters in Elementary Education. Outside of teaching, I love to be with my family and dogs, swim and knit.
Hello, my name is Rebecca Rockmaker. This is my third year at Archway Veritas and fifth year as a third-grade lead teacher. Before Veritas, I worked as a third-grade teacher in the Creighton School District at Kennedy at Loma Linda. I am a native Arizonan! I am originally from Ahwatukee where I went to Desert Vista High School. I attended Arizona State University where I earned a BAE in Elementary Education. I love spending time with my family and friends, doing aerial, reading, singing in choir, and doing puzzles.
My name is Emma Richardson and I am the lead teacher in 3B. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2023 with a Public Health degree. Teaching is where I have found my passion and I am excited to be starting my 2nd year as a lead. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and doing hot pilates.
I have two children. I love coffee and anything chocolate!
This is Mrs. Herbert’s eighth year as a 3rd grade teacher at Archway Veritas. She is a Phoenix native and received her bachelor’s degree from NAU. Mrs. Herbert and her husband are immensely proud of their two grown daughters. When she is not teacheing she loves to read, cook, and be outdoors.
Hello, my name is Ms. Meyers and I absolutely love fourth grade! I am honored to be the lead teacher in 4A this year. I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and began my career in finance before deciding to follow my true passion—teaching. My teaching journey began in high school math where I developed a deep love for education and the formation of young hearts. In addition to being an educator, I’m also a Veritas parent, with children in 8th, 6th, 5th, and 2nd grade. The Veritas community is near and dear to me and my family, and I am truly grateful to be a part of your journey this year.
Mrs. Clark has a rich background in teaching, beginning with the successful pursuit of owning a yoga studio and being a master yoga teacher for several years, until the birth of her son. Realizing her passion for education-she became an assistant teacher while earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her enthusiasm for fostering the child’s curiosity and love of learning led her to Great Hearts and the awareness that their motto, “To cultivate the minds and hearts of students through the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty,” was in perfect harmony with her own. Outside of her academic endeavors, Mrs. Clark is an outdoor enthusiast and early riser- walking or bicycling daily while the sun rises. Deeply committed to personal growth and the family, Mrs. Clark can often be found reading, engaged in rich discussions with her husband and son, and actively participating in her community.
Miss Landtiser has been at Archway Veritas since 2020. She completed the Teacher Apprentice Program and served as a fourth grade TA before becoming a lead teacher. Miss Landtiser has been the costume director for multiple musicals at Veritas Preparatory Academy. Outside of teaching, Miss Landtiser has many creative hobbies including sewing, painting, and photography. She also enjoys reading, baking, and spending time in the great outdoors.
Mr. Trevor Guyette has taught 4th grade at Archway Veritas since 2017. He was born and raised in Arizona. He is a sponsor of the Dungeons & Dragons club and enjoys playing games of all kinds, reading, and drawing.
After a career as a professional ballet dancer, I went on to work with the Division of Developmental Disabilities and the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce before joining Archway Veritas, where I am now in my eighth year. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and absolutely adore teaching. I have been married for 16 years and am a proud mom of two, along with our beloved dog. In my spare time, I enjoy collecting coins and miniatures, as well as welding.
I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in May of 2025. I am eager to use my understanding of the brain and childhood development to inform my interactions with students. In my free time I enjoy moving my body, especially with friends and loved ones.
I have been teaching for over 20 years and truly enjoy being in the classroom and seeing scholars grow not only academically but in virtue, wonder and into well-rounded people. I have four children who have all attended Great Hearts. In my free time I love spending time with my family and doing things outdoors.
I spent ten years of my life in advertising, planning marketing initiatives for brands such as McDonald’s and Gold’s Gym International and managing national advertising campaigns including Sonic’s Drive-In’s “Two Guys in a Car”. I left my position as Account Supervisor to pursue my passion for teaching. I earned my MA in Elementary Education and shortly after, found my home at Archway Veritas. Mrs. Atkinson is excited to join the kindergarten team as a teaching assistant. She is married and has six children, five boys and one girl. She earned a BS in Elementary Education and has a total of 19 years of teaching experience. With her family, she loves to camp, hike, go on bike rides and travel to new places.
I am 23 years old and I am getting my degree in Counseling and Applied Psychological Sciences from Arizona State University. I have worked at Veritas since early 2023. I have a dog named Benny and he acts like a human. My brother is 8 years younger than me too.
Hi, my name is Isabella Olvera! I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in April of 2025. I completed my student teaching at Archway Veritas and this will be my fifth year here. I love dancing, traveling, photography, and spending time with family and friends!
Miss Fernandez is excited to begin her third year at Archway! She is currently pursuing her degree in Elementary Education as a full-time college student. Born in Texas and raised in Arizona, Miss Fernandez is passionate about creating meaningful relationships with her students and strives to ensure each child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed both academically and personally. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, trying new recipes, and exploring new restaurants. Miss Fernandez looks forward to partnering with families to create a positive, engaging, and memorable school year for every student!

Maureen Haley has been part of the community since 2011. Maureen is married to Bill, and their children have attended both Veritas Prep and Archway Veritas. She is excited to serve as a first grade TA. Outside of school she loves baking and spending time with her family.
Ms. Potts is an Arizona native who spent several years in California completing her college education, working as a stylist, and contributing to art installations at a local gallery. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education to further strengthen her commitment to teaching. She is an avid reader who enjoys discovering new authors and revisiting classic works, and her love of music has led her to build a thoughtfully curated vinyl library that reflects a wide range of genres and eras. Her appreciation for the arts also extends into her weekends, which she often spends visiting exhibitions, attending gallery openings, and engaging with the vibrant creative community in her area.
Mrs. Terlisner was born in Mexico city, but she grew up in the North part of Mexico, She has a bachelor’s in Science Communication. She moved to Minnesota in 2003 where she met her husband. They moved to Phoenix in 2008 and she has 2 daughters and a son, they all attend Great Hearts. On her free time she loves to cook, read and spend time with family and friends.
My name is Miss Carter and I am starting my third year at Archway. I am an Arizona native, and completed a French Language degree at ASU! Outside of school, I love to go to the gym, dance, and read as much as possible!
I grew up in Phoenix and went to Georgia where I got my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. After graduation, I fell in love with teaching when I volunteered at art studios around the valley. I became a floater for Archway Veritas in 2025 and am now a Teacher’s Assistant in 2C! I love drawing, painting, and reading in my spare time. I also love being outdoors and enjoy spending my time with my little brother, twin sister and rescue dog, Truman.
Mrs. Brooks is in her third year as a second-grade Teacher Assistant. She obtained her BS in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona and her MA from the University of Chicago in Social Services Administration with an emphasis in School Social Work. Mrs. Brooks enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids at her kids’ activities and sporting events outside of school.
My name is Heather Shaw and this is my third year at Archway Veritas working as a third grade TA. I am also an Archway parent to a 2nd and 5th grader. I love building relationships with students and their families. In my free time I enjoy gardening, bike riding , reading, cooking and spending time with my lovely friends and family.
Hi, my name is Jazmyn Walker, and this is my first year as a 3rd grade assistant teacher! I’ve lived in Phoenix all my life, attending Arizona State University, and primarily worked in Development with various local nonprofits throughout my career, additionally spending time in the radio, museum / arts and culture, pediatric and marketing world. I am so excited to pivot into teaching full time, and in my free time, I enjoy going to concerts and trivia nights, finding new local restaurants to try, taking a museum or Desert Botanical Gardens walk and hanging out with my three-legged cat, Artemis, and partner’s cats, Storm and Margot.
Miss Loy is currently studying Elementary Education at ASU, and will graduate in December of 2026! She has been at Archway Veritas for one year, where she served as a TA in second grade. This year she is joining the 3rd grade team. Outside the classroom Miss Loy enjoys going for hikes, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.
I am very excited to step into the classroom this year in 4A! In addition to education, I have a passion for coaching youth athletics. Outside of hours, I love all sports (playing and watching) and value time with family and friends!
I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. I was a dental hygienist for 25 years and still temp as a sub in my former office to see and catch up with my former co-workers and patients. I have a husband, two rescue dogs a younger sister and niece and newphew in kindergarten and 3rd grade. I enjoy being active, traveling, anything food related and all things outdoors.
Julia Kostraba loves exploring the boundaries between the seen and the unseen. She graduated from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance. As a cellist, she endeavors to look deeper than what appears on the surface through the lateral study of literature, the visual arts, and other art forms. She is very excited to begin working for Great Hearts and share her love of learning and life with the scholars.
Miss Padilla has been a Teaching Assistant at Archway Veritas for two years. She is currently pursing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the movies, and reading.
Sarah is beginning her fifth year at ACV, where she has served as both a teaching assistant in kindergarten, third grade, and now fifth grade. She especially loves building relationships with students and creating a classroom where they feel known, encouraged, and cared for. Sarah is currently pursing her bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. Her love for working with children extends well beyond the classroom. She has been a nanny for the same family for more than 12 years and considers it one of the most meaningful roles in her life.
Born and raised in Arizona, I’ve proudly spent 12 years of my life in the classroom. At home, life is just as exciting- I’ve been married for almost 18 years and am kept on my toes by our four kids that are now all on the Prep side! We also have a furry family member named Avery who turned 12 this year. Over the years of sibling debates and teaching classroom lessons, I have learned that flexibility and snacks can solve almost anything.
My name is Olivia Parsons and this is my first year with Great Hearts! I previously worked as an elementary school librarian which helped me grow a fondness of children’s literature. I love to travel and spend time with my fiancé and 3 children!
I am an Elementary Education student at Arizona State University and I love working with kids and being in the classroom. Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and baking. I especially love trying new recipes and making treats for the people around me. I have dedicated my career to working with children, and helping them discover the joy of movement through physical education. As a former collegiate soccer, cross-country, and track athlete, I remain passionate about running and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle, and I enjoy sharing that passion with my students each day. My goal is to develop not only students physical skills, but also their character by teaching them to always try their best, play safely, show kindness, and demonstrate good sportsmanship. I strive to inspire each child to build confidence, embrace an active lifestyle, and develop healthy habits, and love for movement that will last a lifetime.
I’m an ASU graduate that is going into my 17th year of teaching and 16th year of working with Great Hearts. I love playing golf, traveling and hanging out at the house with my family. I have two dogs, Hazel and Otis and will be celebrating my 13th year of marriage with my lovely life, Melissa.
Mrs. Atwood holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University and has been active in music education for 9 years. She is a member of the Arizona Opera chorus and utilizes the Kodaly method of teaching. She works as a soprano at various churches around the valley and enjoys crafting during her free time. She is looking forward to the start of her 5th year as the K-2 music teacher at ACV.
Dr. Atwood earned a B.M. from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a M.M. from Florida State University, and a D.M.A from James Madison University. He has been teaching music at Archway Veritas for 9 years and loves adventuring in Dungeons and Dragons Club and being the Director of the Fighting Falcon’s Pep Band. In his free time, Dr. Atwood likes to cook, fish, rock climb, and spend time with his family. This year, Dr. Atwood is reading My Antonia, One Hundred Years of Solitude, and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Maggie Medcalf has had a passion for art and classical education since being in a Great Books program in college. She enjoys helping students explore different art mediums and learn from the Masters, including her favorite artist, Henri Matisse. She has lived in the Phoenix area for a little more than twenty years and loves spending time with her husband and children.
Ms. Merryman received a BFA in Art Education at Arcadia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2017, she moved to Arizona and began teaching art in the Valley. This is her 5th year as the 3-5 Art Teacher here at Veritas. She enjoys traveling, rock climbing, and hanging out with her pet snake Picasso.
Anne Cawley is a French native. Her passion for education started 26 years ago well before she assisted teacher school. She earned a master of English in French where she taught middle and high school English. She also graduated from ASU with a master of French and taught at ISAZ, ASU and SCC. She is now a veteran teacher after teaching at Archway for 16 years.
Karla R. Gemoets is a passionate French teacher with over a decade of experience, including eleven years at one of the nation’s top 100 high schools. She now enjoys introducing elementary students to the beauty of the French language and culture through songs, stories, and engaging activities that spark curiosity and confidence. Believing that early childhood is the ideal time to cultivate a love of language, she strives to make learning both joyful and meaningful. Mrs. Opitz has served at Archway Veritas since the inaugural year, 2010. She began as a Kindergarten Teacher and moved to Dean of Students and Assistant Headmaster. She is currently serving as Headmaster. She loves to spend time with her family, hike, cook, and practice jiujitsu. Being part of this community has been an honor and delight.
Mrs. Gandy serves as the Assistant Headmaster. She taught for 13 years in the Chicago Public School system before starting her own family. She began teaching at Archway Veritas in a 3rd grade classroom, and during the 2022-23 school year, she served as the Dean of Students. She holds a Bachelor of Education and Master of Language and Literacy. She was born and raised in the Midwest but loves the warm weather in the south. Mrs. Gandy has two children, Grace and Griffin, who attend Great Hearts Veritas. She enjoys working out, teaching reading and spending time with her family. 
This is my fourth year serving as the Dean of Academics, and I was the former lead teacher of 4C for five years. I studied Elementary Education and Spanish at Benedictine College in Kansas and later studied Humanities and Classical Education at the University of Dallas. I love spending time with my husband and one year old daughter, traveling, speaking Spanish, and anything outdoors!
Mrs. Vandenberg is delighted to begin her second year at Archway Veritas. Mrs. Vandenberg has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona and has a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. In her free time, Mrs. Vandenberg enjoys spending time with friends and family and her two dogs, JMo and Stella.
Mrs. Kinkel is in her 5th year of service at Archway Veritas. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and watching baseball.
Mrs. Hosack has served as Director of Operations for Archway Veritas since 2010. Originally from Southern California, she has been thriving in Phoenix since 1996. Her family is deeply connected to the Veritas community— her son, Kemper, and her mother, Miss Mandy, also work at ACV. A devoted animal lover, she shares her home with three Dobermans and has volunteered at animal sanctuaries for years. Her newest Doberman, Ripley, is the ACV Therapy Dog and also competes in performance sports. In her free time, Mrs. Hosack enjoys time with family, watching movies, planning travel, and indulging her adventurous side through ghost hunting and dog sports with Ripley.
Ms. Del Duca has been the Office Manager at Archway Veritas since 2013. Growing up in a military family, she had the unique opportunity to live and travel in various places around the world, thanks to her father’s service in the Air Force. She is a proud mother of two daughters, and together they share a love for adventure, often bonding over their travels and discovery of new places. Some of Ms. Del Duca’s favorite things include great food, exciting travels, and all things sports.
Mary O’Connor has called Arizona home since 1974. A graduate of Saguaro High School, she went on to complete a three-year cooking apprenticeship with the American Culinary Federation. During that time, she met her future husband—also an apprentice. Together, they have raised nine children and now enjoy a growing family that includes sixteen grandchildren (and counting!). In her free time, Mary enjoys gardening, sewing, solving Sudoku puzzles, and balancing moments of family time with a bit of well-earned solitude.
Ms. Mandy retired in January 2023 after 23 yrs at a non-profit. She soon realized retirement was not for her – she would rather be working, productive and helpful. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Mrs. Canter’s days are filled cheerleading ACV and VPA’s giving campaigns and her evenings are filled with shuffling three active kids to their extracurricular activities! Somewhere in between she finds time to enjoy cooking, walking her beloved golden retriever Charlie, family movie nights, and squeezing in some needlepointing!Exceptional Student Services

Ms. Lentz has been at Great Hearts for 11 years. She has two wonderful daughters and two very spoiled cats. She is double certified in General and Special Education.
I am so excited to be able to return to Archway Traditional Academy for my second year. Being a Native New Yorker, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education, with a concentration in Psychology and Mathematics, from the State University of New York at Geneseo. I also obtained a Master’s Degree in Behavioral and Learning Challenges from Buffalo State College. I am passionate about teaching and being a lifelong learning. Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, exercising, reading and most recently – Pickleball.
Caleb Neese is serving his 6th year at Archway Veritas after Graduating as an alumni from Glendale Preparatory Academy. He graduated in 2026 with a dual licensure in elementary education and special education from Western Governor’s University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and his cat Eileen.
Originally from the UK, Ms. Stigall has been living in the United States for almost 20 years. She has lived in 3 countries and now calls Phoenix home. Ms. Stigall is is in her 4th year of teaching at Archway. In her free time she loves going on adventures with her kids and friends!
Miss Hahn is entering her third year at Archway Veritas and has seven years of experience working as a respite provider through the state, supporting children with special needs. She graduated from Chandler Preparatory Academy in 2020 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Dallas in May 2024. Outside of the classroom, Miss Hahn enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and reading.

I’m a caring and dedicated educator who enjoys supporting students and creating a positive, encouraging environment where they can feel confident and successful. Outside of work, I love spending time with family, cooking and baking, reading, watching movies, and going on walks with my dog. I’m also a big fan of matcha, and discovering new experiences. I value kindness, genuine connections, and making the most out of every moment.
My name is Ms. Tomasko. I am orginally from Minnesota. I moved to Arizona with my youngest daughter in 2021 who just graduated with her Master’s from ASU. My older daughter still lives in Minnesota with the rest of my family including my two grandchildren (ages 1 and 8). I have been teaching for over 20 years. My main focus has been working with preschool, Kinder, and 1st grade. Last year I was a 4th grade TA at the Archway Glendale campus. I am so excited to be here at Archway Varitas working with the ESS team. My favorite things to do outside of school is hanging out with my family, going on fun adventures and traveling, as well as volunteering and fostering animals through rescue centers, and Arizona Humane society. I also have four of my own rescue dogs that keep me very busy!
Hi I’m Katherine Oesterle! I love to read, go to the gym, and hang out with my friends. I’m going to school for an Elementary/Sped degree! I can’t wait to start my year here at GreatHearts!!
Ms. Ghalayini graduated from Arizona State University this past May with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During her studies, she spent four months abroad in Alicante, Spain, where she immersed herself in the local culture, traveled extensively, and gained a deeper appreciation for diverse perspectives. Throughout college, she worked with children in clinical settings and is excited to bring that experience into the classical education environment. A lifelong Arizona resident, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. In her free time, she loves reading and exploring new hobbies, including sewing.
Mya is a junior at Arizona State University studying Family and Human Development and is originally from California. She moved to Arizona in June (definitely a super hot month to make the move!). She is a proud cat mom to two amazing cats who are a big part of her life. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, cooking, going to the gym, and watching movies. My name is Heather Brierley and I was born and raised in Arizona. I love helping students find their voice and build confidence through communication. Being a school speech pathologist assistant allows me to make a meaningful difference every day. Outside of work, I enjoy spending my free time outdoors and appreciate the opportunity to connect with nature.
I’ve been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 25 years. I love spending time with my husband, 2 daughters, and dog! I spend my free time playing pickleball, doing pilates, and baking.
I grew up here in the valley but have traveled the world, spending time in Europe and living in Devon, England for a year. I got my masters in Early Childhood education and have worked with Great Hearts for 14 years. I live with my husband and daughter in North Phoenix and we have a hamster Nikki and Yorkie puppy named Doug.
I have had the joy of teaching for 27 years, the last 7 have been at Archway. I feel blessed to be a part of this community who values a classical education. My oldest three children have graduated from Veritas and my youngest son is in 7th grade at Prep. When I am not teaching I love to cook, hike, and listen to live music.
Hello, my name is Julie Pitcl and this is my sixteenth year teaching at Archway Veritas. I am privileged to teach children to develop their confidence in reading, writing and spelling. My fiancé and I enjoy spending time with our beloved pup, Archie, and our family. I have three beautiful grown daughters who are alumni for Archway Veritas.
After many years of teaching varied levels and subjects, Mrs. Engel has found her niche as the math lady at ACV. When not at school, she is busy enjoying life with her husband and four children. In quiet moments at home, you can find her piddling about her garden, glued to a good book, or cooking.
I have been a school nurse for about 6 years, this will be my second year at ACV. I am a mom of 3 kiddos, one of them is a 1st grade scholar at Archway Veritas. I love spending time at home with my family, hiking, baking, swimming, and taking care of our chickens.
I’m very excited to be helping out this school year! I had a lot of fun last year, and gained a bunch of new insight and experience. I’m most excited about getting to work with the kids, furthering my connections with them, and building new ones as well.
I am a mom to 2 boys and 2 rescue dogs. I have a passion for learning and have always been fascinated by child development, psychology, and neuroscience (with a particular focus on trauma). I enjoy music and nature and escaping into a good book or (recent guilty pleasure) K/C drama..
